We have a lot of information to cover, so please read to the end! Our Chip in for Youth program ends TOMORROW….so let’s take the lead on this and bring in a ton of $$$ to our football program! We had our first PV Sharks Football Booster Board Meeting last week for the 2020 Board. We are still looking to fill a few spots…could YOU lend your time and talents? Please join us for the Spring Parent Football Meeting on 2/25 at 7 pm! Coach DiSandro has been busy setting dates for the season so please see below and get items on your calendar. He will be taking First and Second string Varsity players and Senior players to a camp in Georgia this summer.Details on all of this information are listed below. We are in the process of updating the calendar & our website so it should be current by the weekend.
The Players Championship – Chip in for Youth – ENDS TOMORROW! LAST PUSH!
Get your tickets at a discounted rate WHILE supporting PVHS Football! This program affords youth-serving nonprofit organizations such as PVHS Football an opportunity to sell tickets to the weeklong tournament at a reduced rate. This exclusive offer benefits YOU, PVHS Football and the First Tee, an international nonprofit organization that promotes golf and character development among youth.
Like all tickets for THE PLAYERS Championship 2020, Chip in for Youth tickets are only available online. Chip in for Youth tickets (Thursday-Sunday) are $55 each. For every $55 ticket purchased in support of PVHS Football, we will receive $30. The remaining $25 supports the First Tee, an international nonprofit organization that promotes golf and character development among youth. The organization with the most tickets purchased on its behalf will receive a $10,000 bonus. Second place will receive a bonus of $5,000; and a third place winner will receive $2,500. Spring Meeting 2/25 7 pm!
The Spring Football Meeting on February 25th at 7 pm in the PV Cafeteria is for parents of our Current Football Players. PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND!
Community Service Hours
3/7 Saturday – PVPV Rawlings Spring Carnival – Players Needed to Assist, DOUBLE Community Service Hours Given (8:30 am until 12:30 OR 8:30 to 5 pm) Includes Dunkin Donuts! Long Shift (working all day) gets Lunch, too! Have your player contact Coach DiSandro to sign up!
Gary Goff FB camp @ Valdosta State 7/7 – 7/9 from Coach DiSandro
This camp will be for the varsity starters and varsity backups. Any senior that wants to attend that might not be in the 1 or 2 deep will have the option to attend. I would like to start this as a yearly summer tradition and hope that every player will at some point have the chance to attend. This program is with 12 other high schools from Georgia and the Panhandle of Florida. Summer Football camp will go on for all other players as normally planned.
Iron Days for ALL PLAYERS begin on 3/30 at 7:30 AM. Iron Day workouts will be five days per week, with the exception of the days we have off school ( No school on April 10th and 13th so nothing on those days). The last day of Iron Days will be Friday April 24th.
Spring Practice will begin on 4/27 and the guys will still meet in the morning for spring workouts @ 8:30 AM then practice in the afternoons after school.
The Moms taking the lead for Senior Moms include Kim Bloss, Debbie Polian, Carla Resetar & Becky Romero. They will be meeting next week so stay tuned for information!
Spring Football Game
The Spring Football Game is Thursday May 21st, 6 pm @ Fletcher. Team Meal will be Tuesday May 19th after practice at school – players will quickly “freshen” up and come to the outside area to eat. Look for a Sign Up Genius to come out soon so you can help make this game a success!
Summer Camp for all Players Begins June 1
PV Sharks Summer Football Camp begins June 1st at 8:00 am. Rising Freshman (current 8th graders) will end at 11 am, while all other players will go until 11:30 am. The cost will be $250 payable to Jeff DiSandro Football Camps. This covers the months of June and July, and camp will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday while taking Fridays off. The link to pay online will be up soon…stay tuned for more info. We will take the week of June 29 – July 2 off, returning back to Camp on Monday, July 6th.
PV Sharks Football YOUTH Summer Camp for ages 6-13
This camp will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, June 22 – 25, from 9-noon. Cost is
$125 made payable to Coach DiSandro Football Camps. Link will be up soon on the website. Your young Shark will enjoy 4 days of fun, age-appropriate football instruction by well-trained and educated coaching staff! Many of the same Shark players that your son sees on the field every Friday night in the fall will assist!Your son will experience next level football drills and techniques, daily same-age games, The Shark Walk into the Stadium, and so much more! Campers will rotate positions to gain a greater understanding of all aspects of the game. Join Coach DiSandro Football Camps for this incredible experience!
Team Activities Fees
All players are required to pay an annual, one-time Team Activities Fee to cover the cost of many items that fall under Other Team Activities. The link will be up soon to pay online.
