We REALLY need a few more pregame meals volunteers for JV and Varsity this week.
It can be dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. – as long as they are cleared by St. John’s County to enter the school OR you arrive after school ends at 3:50pm.
From Coach Price
I’ve had a few questions about our plans now that JV football season is coming to a close.I’d love for all the JV players to continue to come to practice on Mondays through Wednesdays until the end of the varsity season. It’s a great opportunity for our young players to continue to work on their skills. JV players also provide a valuable service for the varsity team by functioning as the scout team. If a JV player chooses to not continue practice with us, I will need him to return his equipment. Some JV players may be asked to dress out for a Friday night game. This will be done on a week to week basis. We will continue to lift through-out the year in weightlifting class. Once the varsity season is over, we will begin to lift Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Players without a weightlifting class will still have the opportunity to lift in the mornings before school.
Our off season requirements for football are limited because I am a big proponent of student-athletes playing multiple sports. We will begin 7 on 7 practice in January. We will practice each Wednesday morning from 7:30-8:30am January through April. While these practices will be beneficial, they should never take precedent over winter or spring sports practices.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.Go Sharks!
